  7. <p>Overview: The mainstay of Andorra's economy is tourism. An
  8. estimated 13 million tourists visit annually, attracted by
  9. Andorra's duty-free status and by its summer and winter resorts.
  10. The banking sector, with its "tax haven" status, also
  11. contributes significantly to the economy. Agricultural production
  12. is limited by a scarcity of arable land, and most food has to be
  13. imported. The principal livestock activity is sheep raising.
  14. Manufacturing consists mainly of cigarettes, cigars, and
  15. furniture. Although it is a member of the EC customs union, it
  16. is unclear what effect the European Single Market will have on
  17. the advantages Andorra obtains from its duty-free status.
